Otley Older People's Centre 10kWp Solar

A 31 solar panel 10kWp 3 phase solar panel installation fitted to 2 slate roofs at the rear of Otley Older People's Centre. 

The system is estimated to produce 8,734kWh of solar energy a year, reducing CO2 emissions by 2 tonnes per year, and saving the centre around £2,000 a year.
 

 

Viridian Solar roof integrated solar panels in Ilkley

A Viridian Solar roof integrated solar panel installation fitted to a slate garage roof in Ilkley. This solar PV system was fitted combined with a Giv Energy battery.Leeds Solar undertook all the roofing works involved in stripping the slates, and making good the slates around the solar panels.

This was a relatively challenging solar system to design and install, with the panels needing to be fitted around an existing solar water heating panel, velux windows and dormas on diminishing slates. The Perlight solar panels were selected as they're a smaller panel at only 1.5m panel height, enabling the panels to be installed in portrait above the dorma ridges to give a higher capacity solar array than if we'd installed bigger, higher power panels in landscape.
